We are SLOWLY at getting castings done. As mentioned
before, Our Casting shop is not in my home. I
have not been able to get there as often as I would like to in order to cast,
but have been making an effort to get molds remade and multiples so that I
can get quantities faster.
The Alps printers have been
getting more and more unreliable. I'm woring to obtain a more reliable
option but it's taing time. If you are inquiring about Decals, we will
check stock and let you know what is available or will take time.
On
August 3, 223, I had
Open Heart Surgery.
While my recovery was quick, I was still down for 2 months. We are
SLOWLY getting caught up.
As for my Full Time position at
Longeviti Neuro Solutons, I am now Full Time Senior Design Manager and
requires me to put in more time there.
I design and manufacture Medical Devices for Complex Neuro Surgery.
JT-Graphics being a one man shop. I also have a Full time job, 2 elderly parents and
2
houses to upkeep. Making product and shipping has been SLOW. Please
know that if you order, it may take awhile, nut it will get there.

There are several New Products coming. 650 scale custom parts and looking forward to creating some 537 scale Custom Refit parts. Trying to get everything up and running again. As I get things done, I'll try to post them to News section adn to our Facebook Business page. I appreciate all those who have hung in and been haning in there with me. I'm hoping to purchase a NEW Decal printer that will do white but not Metallics. It's a lot faster than the ALPS also. Will still need the ALPS for that. They are off to Japan to be repaired yet again. Expect to see more its coming soon in RRP Models and hoping to get Bad-Azz and Howling Wolf its rolling again. Lots to do and only little old me (and Im not getting any younger).

We are still SLOW at getting castings done due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As mentioned before, Our Casting shop is at my elderly parents home and since they have respritory and cardiovascular issues, I have not been able to go over as often as I would like to. Additionally the Post Office has been extremely slow. We have been waiting for a shipment of decal paper since early December and it still has not arrived. As for my Full Time position at Longeviti Neuro Solutons, I am now Full Time Production Manager and requires me to put in more time there. Unfortunately, we have to address an issue that I have been trying to avoid. Over the past few years the cost of Alps inks cartridges have been going up and up. Once Alps gave production to a seconday sources, the cost of a CMYK 4 pack has gone from $40.00 to $140.00 at the time I write this. Therefore We will need to raise decal prices again. I'm really sorry but until I can find a cost effective solution for Alps printing...... ADDITIONAL - We are very good about getting back to all email enquiries. At present we are SLOW at getting castings done. In Maryland we are on Lock Down and on Essential Personel are supposed to be working. Our Casting shop is at my elderly parents home and since they have respritory and cardiovascular issues, I have been checking on them but basically staying away. This weekend (4/11-4/12), I hope to resume Casting. Also, my Full Time position at Longeviti Neuro Solutons has changed again. Longeviti is deemed Essential. I'm now acting Production Manager and back to working my "original" schedule. That drastically cuts back my casting time again. Secondly, JT-Graphics is a home based business that I run in my spare time. It's a one man show here now. I have a full time position designing solutions for complex neuro surgery, but I absolutely love this hobby. That doesn't leave me a lot of time to cast, print, package etc. That's why it sometimes takes me longer to get things back in stock. My schedule has changed and I'm able to get to the casting shop for about 1.5 hours each day. That's a lot better than it use to be and I am getting stuff done slowly but surely. Now onto the fun stuff
Klingon Parts are back
The next Howling Wolf kit we are hoping to
get back out will be the Battle Crab. However, there are some issues
with it. Firstly, 2 of the molds still need to be remade as
they are SHOT and I have not been able to find the mold boxes that
Kip Hart "may" have made for those pieces. We do have the
Masters but one of them is missing 2 "arms" and the other needs
repair becaore it can be molded. Our hope is that we can get a
casting of the arms needed to repair the one Master. As soon
as we're able, that will be the next HW kit back in production.
After that should be the 2500 Baseship and 1/24th Blackbird.
As for the Narn Cruiser, We really need to get a rotocatser to do
that one. That's something we hope we can manage

and (bitter) sweet. Molds need to be remade, stock needs to be produced and my new Day Job have been running me ragged. So...... As of Jan. 1st. JT-Graphics will be Semi Closing for about 3-4 months. It's our hope that during that time we will be able to get new molds made and cast/print up stock. So just what is Semi-Closingmean? If you are looking for an item we carry, contact us. If we have it in stock, we will sell it. If we DON'T have it in stock it will not be for sale. There will be NO CUSTOM decals during this time. We hope to
be back up and running in the spring and be fully stocked, or at
least stocked enough so you, the customer, doesn't have to wait long

From Our Facebook page: Hi All, I said that I would get you all up to speed on the “Changes” happening to JT-Graphics and the like. I said that it was a change that we did not want or welcome. Well, here it is. Howling Wolf Productions has been in partnership with JT-Graphics since we struck out on our own close to 10 years ago. If you look at our products, you see that 95% or better are cast by Howling Wolf. HW also casts all Howling Wolf, Bad-Azz, JT-Graphics and 144th Squadron kits and conversions. Unfortunately, that is coming to an end.Kip Hart, the owner and creator of Howling Wolf Productions; my business partner; one of my dearest and closest friends, has Stage 4 Liver and Colon Cancer and its terminal. We have known this for over a year now and the end is drawing near. That is why we did not have tables at Wonderfest this year. It was his last chance to see old friends and we wanted to enjoy the show instead of “working” it. He tried Chemo but it had gone too far and he decided to stop it as it was worse than the disease its self. His current prognosis isn’t good and very doubtful he will see 2017. So now you know why we have been “slow” getting this out this past year. As some of you may know and other guessed, casting was the least of Kip’s talents. Over the years Kip has become a Master at model design. We worked together on a lot of the kit engineering, but he was the person primarily responsible for the CGI conversions, and part breakdown of all Bad-Azz, and 144th scale kits. He created all the renders and step by step illustrations for the instruction and the box art and that’s not all.Kip also had a hand, either directly or indirectly will a lot of the Artisan Replicas from QMX (The Cylon Raider and Blackbird were assembled Howling Wolf kits. He patterned the Serenity, both versions, for QMX). He also provided some of the 3D printing files (unbeknownst to them) for several Garage Kit Mfg’s including Delta Quadrant, Starcratfs, Black Sun Models, Odyssey Slipways and a few others. And he helped Round 2 and Moebius Models with several projects as well. Kip is a guy who didn’t want to be in the lime light, so I became the “face” of everything we did together. He preferred to stay in the back and do what he did best; make beautiful kits. He was talented FAR beyond the computer and casting. His “Howling Wolf” 1/24 scale Blackbird and Cylons Raider, the 2500 scale Basestar, the Narn G’quan, Shadow Battlecrab and Scout were are mastered by HAND. Carved from Renshap and hand detailed, Kip is a true Craftsman. The funny things is, I bet that he could have cranked out all of the Bad-Azz kits by hand and they would have looked just as good as our 3D printed ones. That’s how talented he is. He could have done all this on his own but I am thankful that he chose ME to work with. When we started out, he use to say that if anyone asked him “Why?” he chose to work with me, he’d tell them that it because I “was the only one he found that he could trust.” I don’t know what I did to earn that Trust but I am honored for the privilege of working with him and the friendship that it brought. I spent a few days before and after Wonderfest with Kip at his house. We sat on his porch and talked. There is so much more that he wanted to accomplish and like you often find, there is never enough time. Kip’s presence will be around in the modeling world for a LONG time to come. There are so many kits that are ready to be produced its crazy and I’m sure that if he’s able, there will be a few more in that list before he leaves for the next life. He is my friend, my brother and I love him. Even though he hasn’t left yet, my heart breaks knowing that he won’t be around much longer. I’d gladly quit modeling forever if I could get one more year with him and he could have it pain free. Honestly, I don’t know what I’m going to do without him. Part of me wants to quit as together we are part of something great and I don’t want to do it all on my own. But I know that he wants me to continue on.I’m hoping to go visit him again in two weeks God willing. (He’s in Ohio and I’m in Maryland), and I hope we can sit again on his porch and just savor the time. So now you know what’s going on and can guess what’s to come. At some point I will be getting all the molds, masters, etc. I‘ll have sort it all out, set up a casting area at the shop get things moving. It’s going to be slow, but we will get back up to speed. Chances are that for a few months we may only take orders for what stock we have. If we don’t have it, I won’t sell it. I don’t like it when my customers have to wait for stuff they have paid for which is why we have never done Pre-Orders.I may even Temporarily Close for a few months while I rework and organize everything. I haven’t decided if I will be farming out all or part the casting work or doing it “in house” myself. There are some options that I’m looking into though and one is a recommendation from Kip himself. So you know it will be of the highest quality. That’s what’s going to be hard to match. If you are a religious person I would ask that you please pray for Kip, the pain and his quality of life. He’s a pretty humble guy and doesn’t have a clue as to how many like and admire him. I know that he’s impacted my life greatly. I am forever change for knowing him and already miss him. God Bless you Kip. |
